Welcome to Thorpe Hall In The Yorkshire Wolds!
Hello and a very warm welcome to Thorpe Hall Caravan, Camping, Motorhome and Glamping site. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful campsite in a countryside setting then look no further.
Set in the sheltered, old walled gardens of Thorpe Hall Country Estate you can escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
We're only a 10-15 minute drive from the coastal attractions of Bridlington, 7 miles from the beautiful Bempton Cliffs, a favourite for birdwatchers and just over 9 miles from Flamborough where you can take a boat trip or if you're lucky, see the seals.
If you don't feel like cooking after a day of exploration the community pub in the village is a leisurely 15 minute walk away.
We’re a small family owned campsite rated 4 star by Visit England and AA Quality Standard and we look forward to welcoming you
Peace, Space & Tranquility In And Around Thorpe Hall
Thorpe Hall is a privately owned, Grade II* which was built in the early 1700’s. It's still very much a working estate today and forms an important part of the local community. Whilst on site keep an eye out for the many birds and animals that visit us from rabbits to buzzards, woodpeckers to deer.
Being a family home, the house and gardens are not open to the public but we are surrounded by flora and fauna with several walks direct from the campsite via the public footpaths and bridleways. We are dog friendly but as we are a working estate and a home to ground nesting birds we do ask that all dogs be kept on a lead.
For experienced anglers staying with us, we have a beautiful coarse fishing pond available where you can while away a quiet, sunny afternoon*
Just a short walk from the site, along the footpath stands the ancient Rudston Monolith in the grounds of All Saints Church. It is Britain's tallest and most mysterious standing stone offering a glimpse into the village's deep prehistoric past.
A little farther alomg into Rudston village you will find our local community pub.
