Caravan & Camping Terms and Conditions 

Travel Insurance: We highly recommend guests take out travel insurance in case of any unexpected eventualities

 

Deposits: Are non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment of balance required 28 days prior to the date of arrival

 

Cancellations & Refunds: No refunds for inclement weather, force majeure, no show, late arrivals, early departures or illness. No refunds/discounts will be made within 7 days pre arrival

 

Amendments: Incur an admin charge of £5. Bookings cannot be amended within 7 days pre arrival

 

Lead Booking: Must be aged 18+ years old and agrees to ensure all persons associated with the booking are aware of/obey the rules set out in this document. Not to do so could result in you being asked to leave the site

 

Arrival: From 1.00pm. Your name and pitch number will be displayed on the white board at the front of reception. Subject to availability early arrival may be possible from 9.30am at a charge of £6 (prior booking is essential, please call 2 days before arrival)


Set Up: Only ONE unit per pitch and a maximum of SIX persons per pitch. To comply with fire regulations you must set up as shown on the diagram beneath the check-in board. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to move

 

Pitch Allocation: Management reserve the right to change your pitch number without prior warning


Latest Arrival: 8.00pm. If arriving after 8.00pm please park in late arrivals (parking area to the right hand side of the drive beside large red brick Cottage) until 10am the next day when you will be allowed onto your pitch NB: Non-electric area


Departure: 11.30am at the latest. Late departures up until 3.30pm subject to availability at a charge of £6 (ask at reception 1-2 days prior to original departure)


Speed Limit and One Way System: In the interest of safety, please observe the 10mph speed limit and the one way system

 

Noise Restrictions: We ask all guests to respect others by keeping conversation, music and TV at a low level and by not allowing dogs to bark continually etc.        ** Strictly no noise between 11.00pm – 8.00am**

 

All Persons: Agree to act in a courteous and considerate manner towards staff, workforce and other guests. If you, any of your family members or visitors whom you have invited to the Park break the behaviour standards we may terminate your booking with immediate effect. No refund will be due

 

Children: To be supervised at all times so they’re not a danger to themselves and others and do not cause a nuisance to other guests


Storage Tent: One storage tent permitted per pitch free of charge but must not exceed 4ftx4ft footprint and is for storage only


Gazebos, Kitchen//Day/Pup Tents or Shelters: Are not permitted unless an additional pitch is booked i.e. free standing structure not attached to your unit


Caravan/Motorhome/Campervan Awnings and Canopies: Free of charge but must fit entirely within your pitch


Tents: Max size permitted is 5m wide X 10m deep NB: entire unit must fit within your pitch e.g. tent, guy ropes, vehicle parked to the side of tent. For larger tents and additional pitch must be booked


Ground Sheets: Must be breathable


Electric Vehicles: Charging on site is not permitted


Dogs: : Maximum 3 per pitch. (2 dogs free, 3rd at £3 per night). Dogs not to be left unattended in your unit or be allowed to bark constantly. Even if friendly, elderly or well trained they must be on a lead and under control at all times. Please toilet off site and pick up after them immediately. Dogs not permitted in the toilet/shower block, laundry or shop NB: No Dangerous Dog Breeds accepted (see Gov.UK)


Group Bookings: Groups of more than 2 units are only permitted by prior agreement. No hen or stag parties  

 

Ball Games, Frisbee, and Kite Flying: For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, these activities are only allowed in the games field

 

BBQ’s: Are allowed only at the managers’ permission. Disposable BBQ’s must not be placed on any furniture and be raised off the ground and not damage the grass. Please allow disposable BBQ to cool fully after use prior to disposing of them. They are not to be used for anything other than cooking e.g. heat source


Fire Pits, Open Fires, Fireworks, Chinese Lanterns, Flaming Torches: For safety reasons are not permitted under any circumstance


Vehicles: Max of one vehicle per pitch. Additional vehicles to be parked off site once you have paid for your permit. Work-related vehicles and sign-written vehicles may not be permitted on site. Please email to check in advance info@thorpehall.co.uk

**Strictly no washing of vehicles or units on site**

 

Coarse Fishing: Available at extra cost to guests staying with who hold a relevant license. Tickets must be purchased prior to visiting the lake. More details/rules can be found on door at reception once on site. Swimming in lake is NOT allowed


Hot Water: You are advised to check temperatures as it can fluctuate. Hot water is not to be taken from the facilities block


Rubbish and Recycling: Please place glass in the small green bins and general waste in the large green bins (sorted at depot). If you’d like to assist further paper, plastic and tins can be placed in the large green wheelie bin on the drive. Doggy Poo bags only to be disposed of in the green wheelie bin on the drive

TV, WIFI and Mobile Phone Signal: Cannot be guaranteed due to factors outside of our control


Visitors: Must depart by 8.00pm. Vehicles must be parked off site, paid for prior to parking and a permit displayed on their dashboard


Glamping Site Rules

Occupancy - Maximum x2 adults (21 years or over) per tent


Arrival - Please arrive between 4.00pm and 6.00pm, when a member of staff will be on site to welcome you. Please be sure to familiarise yourself with your surroundings during daylight hours


Departure - Latest departure is 10.00am. We request that you leave the Bell Tent and surrounding area in a clean and tidy condition, ensuring that all cutlery, crockery, pans etc. have been washed and dried. Please empty bins and dispose of rubbish in the large bins on the campsite

Safety - The Glamping is situated in a semi-rural location and for your safety you may not climb any fences, walls or wander into any other field or woodland area other than the games field or one of the public footpaths


Visitors - To safeguard the comfort and security of our Bell Tent guests, we do not allow any guests of the campsite/cottages or outside visitors to enter the glamping area. If you do wish to meet with friends or relatives you are welcome to convene in the large games field. Visitors’ vehicles are charged at £2.50. They must be paid for and a pass obtained from reception prior to parking


Quiet hours - are between 11pm and 8am though we ask that you respect fellow guests and neighbours by keeping noise to a reasonable volume at all times


Fire Pit - You are welcome to use the fire pit provided but we ask that it is left in situ and not moved to a different location for safety reasons. No other form of open fires are allowed and foraging for firewood is strictly forbidden. You will receive complimentary logs on arrival and further supplies will be available for purchase from the onsite shop (along with firelighters and matches)


BBQ’s  - are permitted but must be raised off the ground where the grass is short (please use the bricks provided if using a disposable variety) BBQ’s may not be placed on any furniture and coals/briquettes must be cold before disposing of them in the metal bin provided


Smoking & E-cigarettes – is not permitted inside the bell tent


BBQ, Fire Pit and Smoking – please close doors of your bell tent to stop smoke entering


Fireworks, Chinese Lanterns, Flaming Torches – are not permitted on site for safety reasons


Candles – are not permitted inside the bell tents


Electric Vehicles: Charging on site is not permitted


Hot Water: Please check temperature as it can fluctuate. Hot water must not be taken from the facilities block


Coarse Fishing: Available at extra cost to guests with a relevant fishing license. Tickets must be purchased PRIOR to visiting the lake. Rules can be found at reception.

Swimming in lake is NOT permitted


Footwear – please help us to keep the bell tents clean by removing outdoor footwear and placing in the box prior to going inside


Valuables – please take all valuables with you and do not leave unattended in the bell tents as the units are not secured. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to your property or car whilst on site


Fire - in the case of emergency, please use the extinguisher and/or sand buckets if safe to do so and call 999


Faulty or broken items - please contact us during your stay if any item is faulty or you wish to discuss anything. Accidents happen so please notify us of any damage so that we can ensure every item is in place for the next guest. Only in the event of the repair or replacement costing in excess of £50 would we look to recover the cost


Emergency – for all medical and fire emergencies please contact 999 in the 1st instance.


Contact Number - A 24 hour WhatsApp number will be provided for emergency use only for all other non-life threatening occurrences

 

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests who do not comply with these terms and conditions or whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
