Thank- you again for staying with us. We have been spared the snow and deep frost of last year so far, but perhaps by the time you receive this letter, the weather will have altered. The Toilet Block has new double-glazed windows and extra insulation, so we are hopefully ready for whatever comes our way! David Hockney and the Countryfile Programme have greatly increased awareness of the Yorkshire Wolds and especially Woldgate and the woods around Boynton. His exhibition at the Royal Academy in London will certainly be worth visiting. You might even be lucky and see him painting, or his uniquely adapted vehicle taking his multi-dimensional photographs. www.hockneypictures.com The Vintage Tractor Charity Rally visited last year and will be doing so again this year the date for your diary is Sunday 29th April. Prices have slightly increased but we have tried to reduce the majority for the summer holidays. The Walk dates are:- Snowdrop Walk February 18,19, & 20th Local News! ~ Jayne is now a Granny. Her daughter Grace has a lovely, and by now, quite large for his age Son called Hayden. So, don’t be confused if you meet two Granny Chats in the office! Geoff is to be seen on his red grass-cutter which is the favourite toy of certain ’young men’! Ian is in charge of the toilet block and is also now a Grandpa. There must be something in the water round here! The Laundry Cottage is available for families or couples to rent through-out the year (www.thelaundrycottage.co.uk ) and is proving very popular.
